The Global Tech Jam conference on Smart Cities has issued its Call for Papers. The event takes place June 20-22 in Portland, Oregon.
In collaboration with the Association for Computing Machinery (ACM) Emerging Interest Group (EIG) on Smart Cities and Communities (SCC), we will be hosting a Technical Papers Symposium as part of Tech Jam. This symposium will provide a leading venue for the presentation of the highest-quality original research, groundbreaking ideas, and compelling insights on future trends in Smart City Technology and Deployment. Please see the call for papers at https://easychair.org/cfp/SCC2018. Accepted papers will be published in the ACM Digital Library as part of the event proceedings.
The Second Annual Global Tech Jam returns to Portland to present the largest forum of its kind for Smart City initiatives. This event will bring together forward-looking municipalities, research institutions, federal agencies, and leading private sector companies interested in preparing their transportation infrastructure for the latest smart city technologies to provide better, more equitable services.
Located in the Oregon Convention Center at the heart of Portland on the Green Loop and served by the Portland Street Car, this event will showcase major smart city developments and test beds in the region and around the world.
By its very nature, the event will attract policy, technology and resource management leaders across the spectrum of city, research and educational institutions–the very leaders who will be implementing your organization’s products in their respective home environments. The following is a sample of the leaders who attended last year’s event.
Abstract submissions (250 words) are due March 19, 2018.
